Easy fried cabbage

They are so many names used to refer to cabbage from John 14 to pork’s head, all with the intention to soften the blow and show the contempt. It’s very common as a January relish and in some southern African countries, it’s very popular at funerals. All in all, it’s for when hard times hit but honestly, it’s more than that. If it were to feature in that Castle advert it will probably go like you call me boring but I’m more than that.

It seriously is, more than that, it has insane mineral benefits. Try this easy and delicious recipe and reap all the mineral benefits of it as well as saving on the pockets.
What goes into this easy fried cabbage
Cabbage; The recipe uses the so popular green cabbage and fresh is always best. If you are like me who likes to buy a huge of cabbage because it’s cheaper only for it to be in the fridge before finally freezing it then consider buying a halved or quartered one.
Peppers; Get some fresh peppers in there for great flavour and a bit of colour. Cause like many of you I am still traumatized by how white cabbage would look alongside pap, it’s like eating pap with potatoes. a story for another day.
Tomato; I like to use jam tomatoes but any ripe tomato will do especially those juicy ones from street vendors.
